Jackie Lantern's Insane Antics: Rock of Gib AltarJackie Lantern says, "Mwah-hahahahahaaaa! After all these years, finally, I can start fixing my ultimate weapon! For over a century I have left the full might of Halloween languish while I sought the answer to the age old question, 'Why is my stuff broken?' Now... I have that answer! And that answer is, 'By gathering Chaos Focuses and doing things with them!' CHAOS FOCUS #1! COME TO ME!"
Jackie Lantern LASER FIRE
Wildfire says, "Oh that sounds -fantastic-."
Wildfire says, "Let me help you 'FIX IT'"
Jackie Lantern | There is a really bright flash of light consistent with a ridiculously large laser in the Malformed Zone.
Female-voiced Hastur says, "...oh, it's you again."
Anya says, "That answer doesn't logically follow that question."
Female-voiced Hastur sighs and closes a book. "I suppose this must be that big event you were talking about."
Jackie Lantern says, "Yes, it most certainly is!"
Thionette says, "Somebody sure be makin' a lot of noise"

Witch Hunt: Babette Log Pt. 2 The moment the demigod's eyes are open, she's already recovering. Even before the tendrils fully withdraw from her. Her body's regeneration shakes off the sleepiness within a fraction of a second, and as the barrier explodes out around them, she pushes herself fully to her feet, grips her sword, and then brings one foot down so hard as to send a ripple through the bed.
The bright, radiant cloud of energy around her dies down... no, not 'dies down'. It stops pushing outward, and condenses itself back around her, going from a wavering outflow of energy down to a tight, billowing aura that looks like a storm cloud building on itself endlessly. Little, silent arcs of lightning dance around the edges of it now and then. The woman at the heart of the storm looks upward just in time for the runes to hit.
By now she's so accustomed to it that she merely narrows her eyes in reply.
Witch Hunt: Babette Log Pt. 1 There are many places in the Multiverse where Adalinda Blumenkrantz has never been. But there are also many places right here on Earth (or the iteration she hails from) she has ALSO never been. One such place is the United States of America. There are very few good things one could ever ascribe to Witch Hunting. 'Seeing new places' is generally not one that fits on that extremely brief list, but it's on Adalinda's own list at least. A 'Matress World' store in Seattle, Washington, is not exactly a new place that she expected to find herself in, though.
However, this is where a Witch will appear. They know it this time. They got here well in advance. The Union is here, they have evacuated every last innocent bystander via one cover story or another, and this time they were super discrete about it. No teleporting in, no power armor, no nothing. At least not until they were alone. Now there's a circle of strange devices in the middle of the floor. The devices are new technolo
Everyday BadassI am an Everyday Badass.
Or that's what they say.
They think I'm real cool,
But I don't see it that way
I'm there when they need me,
I help in a pinch,
But when I look away from the bomb
It's because I know I'll flinch.
I'm not epic and I'm not special,
My name isn't 'Action Nate Fury'.
I'm not a legend, I'm just this guy.
And I'm always wracked with worry.
They call me the Everyday Badass,
But I don't think I'm qualified.
They say I'm really awesome,
(Something I've often denied).
I'm the one with the answers,
The man with the plan.
That's what they say,
But I don't understand.
I'm not epic and I'm not special.
That stuff I did before I won't repeat.
I'm not a soldier. I'm not a hero.
I'm always sitting on the edge of my seat.
Some call me the Everyday Badass.
I really wish they'd stop.
